Clubhouse Jr., the magazine published by Christian advocacy organization Focus on the Family, is encouraging its early elementary school-aged audience to do simple summertime fundraisers such as lemonade stands to help provide Bibles for U.S. troops overseas. The effort, labeled Truth for Troops, is being made in conjunction with the American Bible Society. “One of our goals at Focus is to instill in children a love for God’s Word, and this is a hands-on way of doing so,” said Focus President and CEO Jim Daly. “Knowing that biblical principles form the foundation for strong families, we are proud to partner with American Bible Society in bringing hope to those who bravely serve our country.” Kids can log on to the Truth for Troops online site through Aug. 31.
