This week, friends offered us free tickets to see one of our favorite musicians. What a nice thought! We were pleased, that is, until we discovered that the show was at the local casino. We politely turned them down.

What would the world be like, if all the money spent on gambling was used to feed the hungry, house the homeless, find cures for disease, and establish scholarships for needy students?
Prayer: Father God, help us to walk in your truth, ever mindful that we are but stewards in this world. Then, too, Lord, give us courage to walk so that others will not stumble. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
