When my hairdresser wanted a model for a live TV demonstration, I signed on immediately. My hair had become an obstacle to my joy. It was way too long, unruly and even caused migraines.
“I don’t care what you do with it,” I cried. “Just make it different.” And he did, on TV for the world to see. I love the shorter cut. No more styling issues or migraines, just short and easy-to-manage hair.
The irony of the thing is that I could have simply made hair appointments months before. Instead of whining I could have promoted change but instead, I wallowed. I could have been happier so much sooner.
That same truth applies to our spiritual life. We could ask Jesus into our life right now instead of being so miserable where we are now.
The question is “why don’t we?”
And the answer is ______________________________________???????????????????????
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. (Hebrews 3:7, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, strengthen your call on the hard-hearted and short-sighted, today, please. Amen.
