The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
(Luke 1:28)
Now that is what the angel said to Mary but the truth is, that is how God sees each one of us. Isn’t it a pity that we don’t see ourselves as God sees us?
I’m reading the biography of a famous movie star, who saw himself as little or nothing, inspite of being adored by the world. Is that you? Do you ignore the wonderful things that God says about you, or the fact that he treasures you or that he wants a relationship with you?
God says with Him I am peace-filled. (John 14:27)
God says I am joyful/joy-filled. (John 15:11)
God says I am powerful, loved, and have a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7).
God says I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14).
God says Jesus died because I am worth it. (John 3:16).
God says I am forever loved. (Romans 8:38-39).
God says I am healed. (Isaiah 53:5).
And what do you say in the light of these truths? Do not call God a liar!
