My new book,’ How to Live Like a Princess, When Your Life is the Pits’ covers everything from soup to nuts. No, it is not a cookbook but instead a collection of many of the life moments that occasionally took over my life.
My highs and lows probably match many of yours. Yes, our families were different, but face the truth. We differed from our families because we are all different.
Think of parents as adult birds determined to get their fledging chicks out of the nest and flying on their own. They feed and comfort them until their wings develop and then sometimes actually kick them out of that cozy nest into the real world.
Like baby birds, we find out that we can fly without our parents’ support and we start the nesting process all over again with our own mates.
“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
(Matthew 6:25-34, NIV)
