Nobody runs much in the bible. Here is one of the few exceptions.
Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1, AMP)
Jesus didn’t ever seem to run anywhere. When you wanted his attention, he gave it wholeheartedly. No multitasking for Jesus. No gobbling of dinner or fretting about being late for something.
No, Jesus lived each moment completely. He took his time and he advised us to do the same.
Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself. (1 John 2:6, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, forgive us when we rush through life and miss the half of it. Amen.
