Just Give Me Jesus

I wanted to up the stakes a bit for my family, so I made a wonderful peach sauce and served it over ice cream. Everyone really enjoyed it. In fact, the little one asked to take some home.

When I handed her a container full, she burst into loud wails. “No, no,” she cried. “I want real peaches!”  Thankfully, I still had some. She knew the difference between a real peach and a recipe that used peaches.

Do you know the real Jesus? The Jesus who forgives, heals, changes lives, encourages growth, and helps us forgive the unforgivable? Stop living, and believing in a peach-sauce Jesus; go for the real thing.

As Anne Graham Lotz says, “Just give me Jesus.”

Prayer-Father God, teach us the real truth abut Jesus. Remove any false convictions we might have and just give us Jesus. Amen.
