Then the biggest thing to ever happen in all of history happened. Jesus, our Saviour was born!
And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. (Luke 2:6-7, NLT)
This was step one in the process toward our freedom from sin and death. Thirty three years later, Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Do you know that for yourself?
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NLT)
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life. (John 6:47, NLT)
It’s not too late.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9)
Prayer – Dear Lord Jesus, I do believe that you are the Son of God, and that you died on the cross to pay the price for my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead and that you’re alive right now. Please come into my life. Forgive my sin. Make me a member of Your family. I now turn from going my own way. I want you to be the center of my life. Thank you for your gift of eternal life and for your Holy Spirit who has come to live in me. Amen
