Famous chef, Julia Child wanted all food to be perfect and so began her struggle with boiled eggs. She finally settled on the method from the Georgia Egg Board, as quoted from Backstage with Julia by Nancy Verde Barr.
Prick the eggs ¼ inch deep in the thick end. Cover with an exact amount of water depending on the number of eggs. Bring just to the boil, Remove immediately from the heat. Put the lid on the cooking pot. Let the eggs sit for exactly 17 minutes. Immediately plunge the eggs into ice water and chill for 15 or twenty minutes before peeling them.
Thank God that the directions for a Godly life in this season and eternal life in the next do not depend on such stringent guidelines.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
