“The Love Dare” by Stephen and Alex Kendrick is No. 1 again on the Times‘ Paperback Advice list. The study of the book is a central feature in the movie “Fireproof”, which features a couple headed toward divorce rescuing their marriage by adhering to Biblical concepts.
Churches typically buy the “Fireproof” DVD in site-license packages. Many of those churches will have one or both spouses in couples taking “The Love Dare challenge” in groups and classes.
“Far more than a movie or a book, this is a movement,” said B&H Publishers Marketing Vice President John Thompson. “Lives changed and grassroots endorsements spread like wildfire. We’ve been privileged to see the phenomenon at ground level.”
“The Love Dare” has been on the list for 20 weeks since its release in September. Also in the Top 10 are two other books by Christian authors–“The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman (No. 7) and “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren (No. 10).
