Make it fit

A friend asked me to put a new zipper in her coat. “How hard can it be,” she asked. “Why I even bought the new zipper for you.”

It sounded like a piece of cake, until I discovered the zip was two inches longer than the coat opening!

“Just cut an inch off each end!” She cried.

Any sewer knows that’s just plain impossible. The whole thing would break. It would be like cutting the beginning and the end off the Bible. Why Genesis and Revelation fit together like a hand in a glove.

In the beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1, AMP)

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. (John 1:1, AMP)

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all). (Revelation 22:13, AMP)
