After we ask Christ into our life, we are different. People sense that in us but they are afraid of that difference. They want it, but they don’t want it. They try to live off our strength.
Friends, we are not Jesus, but we can offer them Jesus so that they find their own strength in him.
And what will Jesus do? He is waiting to be asked and when hi is asked into our lives, we will find ourselves able to do things we never did before. Count on it.
And the cycle repeats itself over and over again. You tell someone and they tell someone, just like the disciples did.
Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work.
Jesus said to them, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” They didn’t ask questions, but just simply left their nets and followed. (Matthew 4:18-20)
