I shop all year for the holidays. One year I wrapped as I bought. Imagine my surprise when people opened their stuff. I forgot what I bought for them
When we give God his gift, that is, our sin, no matter the time of year, he wraps it up and stores it away.
He must be surprised when we keep peeking at those wrapped and stored sins. Gone is gone.
Leave the past alone and move into the joy of salvation without the guilt of heavy cartons of sin.
Let’s stop making judgement calls on ourselves based on our past sins.
I try not to judge myself because even I haven’t walked a mile in my own shoes. Joanne Godwin
“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” (Romans 4:7, 8, Psalm 32, 1,2)
Promise me.
Never again peek at those past sins, no matter how pretty the bow or how shiny the paper.
After all, Christ wrapped our sin away forever.
