Olivia Grade 3

On Valentines Day this year, I received a multi-page art work from Olivia in Grade 3. Someone in our area organized local children into a body of artists with the goal of giving a card to everyone in our community. This was no easy feat, because we are a community of over 2000 dwellings.

This was a massive undertaking for the organizer and all the policemen who hand delivered letters to every home. It was a big gesture with a happy outcome for all.

My Olivia wrote; Smile! Hi, how are you? I hope you have a great day. I am 9 years old. How old are you_______? I hope you love all the things I drew. Smile! Made in 2023. (A large orange and yellow dragon graced one full page and hearts with angel wings covered the rest.)

Now if a group of children sent so much love to people they didn’t even know, imagine what your small note would mean to a neighbor, a shut- in or an unknown?

You can be a life changer today. Grab your pen and just sign a card to someone that says “Thinking of you today” Get joy by giving it.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
