Other Laws

This is the subtle name a friend has for his in-laws because both sides of the family created more laws than anyone can keep up with. As a result, he finds it impossible to please anyone.

“You will come here for Christmas Dinner. Sunday dinner at our home is a must. We never did that with our children.”  Other Laws insist on their own way without thought of the turmoil caused in their children’s homes.

What chaos threatens our children, their spouses and our grandchildren just because we want our own way?

A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. (Proverbs 21:2, NIV)

Prayer- Lord, may we consider the lives of our children with grace instead of demands for our own way.  Amen.
