Once I used liquid soap as a face moisturizer—but only once and by accident–honest!! Did you ever use conditioner as a moisturizer? Or hand cream as sunscreen? Did you ever spray shaving gel into the air, believing it was air freshener? Use a mentholated product to unstick a window? Did you ever slip and fall in a place you traveled on a regular basis? Yes, that’s me again. It resulted in this six-month travel with a broken arm.
These are silly mistakes made by real people but only by mistake. We weren’t paying attention to the job at hand. The Bible mentions lots of foolish people like those who have eyes but do not see, and have ears but do not hear, (Jeremiah 5:21, NIV) and those who deny the truth of the crucified Christ.
You Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. (Galatians 3:1, NIV)
Translation; pay attention folks. Pay attention.
Prayer- Lord, as Easter arrives, remind us to pay attention to the truth of the Christ for it is real and we have been mindless long enough. Amen.
