Prosopagnosia

On the spectrum is a term used to describe children who have some form of autism. There are different patterns and behaviours ‘across the spectrum’

One is face blindness, known medically as Prosopagnosia. It is a word describing why folks on the spectrum might have trouble recognising, for example, their teacher, if they saw her in a supermarket and not in the school room.

Many of us without autism have the same problem. Note what Jesus says.

“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me. (John 14:23 MSG)

Prayer- Oh God, open our eyes to meet Jesus. Amen.
