Do you keep a record of your life in a journal of some kind? Or do you only keep a record of the wrongs done to you over the years?
Bitterness will fill the whole in your soul and spout it out in places you never thought possible. So too will happiness and good thoughts. Which legacy will you leave for your children?
I am a constant journal writer though I confess that this broken arm and left-handed printing are making it difficult right now. I am working hard to record the blessings and not the negatives that would abound if I let them.
Generations to come will read my thoughts and I don’t want to be known as Cranky Granny to those that come after me. Actually I don’t want to be known as Cranky Granny even now.
That’s why I work at a good attitude even now in the difficult spots of my life. Do you?
Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] (Philippians 2:5, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, give us the courage to face our truth with a good attitude, so that our loved ones remember us with joy, not derision. Amen.
