When I sit on our couch, the fireplace trim to my left reflects a person walking along our street. In a few seconds, that same person is reflected in the slightly opened window across from me. Finally, finally, I see the actual person walking down the street which in reality is behind both fireplace and window.
That is how we reflect the glory of Christ. No, at first we aren’t all that we should be but little by little as we grow in his grace the newness of Christ shows more than we do! The closer we get to God, the more we look like him!
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! (1 Corinthians 13:12, MSG)
Prayer- Lord, shine your glory through us. Amen.
