In the video “Not So Friendly Birds with Bills,” birds of various sizes and shapes attack humans with relentless vigor. The birds always win.
There are other kinds of two-legged, billed birds that are just as relentless. They show up when we over-extend ourselves financially.
Here are some ways to avoid that.
For while we were yet with you, we gave you this rule and charge: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat. Indeed, we hear that some among you are disorderly [that they are passing their lives in idleness, neglectful of duty], being busy with other people’s affairs instead of their own and doing no work. (2 Thessalonians 3:10-11, AMP)
Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another. (Romans 13:8, AMP)
Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income; So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, sometimes we try our hardest, yet fall behind. May we live wisely and trust you for your grace and favor upon us. In Christ. Amen.
