Separation Anxiety

Lord, what would we do without you, whenever life tears us apart?

What would we do in our mourning, when shadows of pain cross our heart?

What would we do without you, when sad and alone ourselves find?

When bitterness knocks, fear answers the door, and even worse enters our mind?

What would we do when dark blossoms of winter drag into our lonely thoughts?

What would we do without you, you who gave us your Son and bought

Our freedom from sin and wickedness within…

Oh, Lord, what would we do without you?
