Show Up

Do you know how to give up your power? Just think about how you don’t have any!

For instance: we tell ourselves one person can’t make a difference. Well, October 19 is Election Day in Canada. Your vote can make a difference.  Show Up and vote.

A neighbour is lonely and afraid. You can show up and become their friend.

A person is hungry. You have a huge casserole in the freezer. Deliver it.

A single mom is juggling fifty things at once. Catch a couple of them for her.

A bored four-year-old needs entertaining. Show her how to make butter with dandelions.

I think you get the idea. Show up and use your power to change lives.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. (James 3:13, NIV)

Prayer – Lord give us more ideas on how to use ‘our ‘ power’ for good. Amen
