Is God ever silent? So many times I couldn’t seem to hear God’s voice or even get a hint about the direction my life should take. Even King David had moments like this.
O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you answer not; and by night I am not silent or find no rest. (Psalm 22:2, AMP).
Do you know why God is silent? If so, will you share it with us? Is it our sin, our poor listening skills or the wrong timing? Is God so busy some where else that he has no time left for us?? Is he consumed with righting the earth’s atmosphere?
Is it possible that when God is silent he is waiting for us to do the last thing he mentioned?
Never mind the reason. It is enough to know that when God wants us to hear him, he will manage to get our attention.
Prayer- Lord, while we listen through your silence give us the courage to do what you want us to do. Amen.
