We pray and we pray and we pray. Quite often we are able to stand against anything from exhaustion, hunger, illness, temperature, greed, emotions and more. When we succumb it is only because we worry that God won’t be able to keep us in our trouble. That is a false belief because Jesus says this.
Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? (Matthew 6:25, AMP)
We can ask anything in Jesus’ name if it is according to his will. Our fight against life’s temptations is according to his will. His will is that we come to know him personally, love and honor him and obey God’s word.
From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. I mean it. Whatever you request in this way, I’ll do. (John 14:14, MSG)
Prayer- Father God, forgive us when we falter. Help us stand again for all that is Jesus. Amen and Amen (So be it, so be it.)
