Spiritual Gift Envy

This is Charles Wesley’s comment to those who envy the spiritual gifts of others.

Moses, the minister of God, rebukes our partial love.
Who envy at the gifts bestow’d on those we disapprove.
We do not our own spirit know who wish to see suppressed,
The men that Jesus’ spirit show, the men whom God hath blest.

…The Spirit rested upon them, and they …prophesied… Joshua, the minister of Moses, said… Moses, forbid them!  But Moses said … Are you envious or jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them (From Numbers 11:26-29, AMP)
