Talking to Trees

I talk to the trees but they don't listen to me…..
The breeze hasn't time to stop, and hear what I say…

These are a few lines from a song called…’I Talk to the Trees.’ I can’t find the writer’s name but I did find countless other writings by people who do talk to trees. Personally, I think I’d rather listen for the sound of the Lord going out before me and defeating my enemies!

Once more the Philistines came up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim;so David inquired of the Lord, and he answered, “Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the poplar trees.  As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lordhas gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.” So David did as the Lordcommanded him, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer (2 Samuel 5:24, NIV)

Prayer- Lord, sound your army in our ears that we might not be afraid…Amen
