The Word is the Sword

Do you see what I see in Hebrews 4:12?? 

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, AMPC)

A sword contains the word, literally; s-word! God has such a fine sense of humour. 

He’s saying, “Friends lest you forget, the sword is the word and the word is the sword! And note what the s-word can and does do. Words cut, wound or encourage like a sword.

Note my small changes in the verse below.

For the SWORD that God speaks is alive and full of power [making the SWORD active, operative, energizing, and effective].

It is sharper than any two-edged WORD, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature],

The WORD is the SWORD and the SWORD is the WORD, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, AMPC)

Prayer- Lord, help us use our swords and our words for good. Amen.
