I thought that thought a few times in my life and I was always wrong. The day of today that leaves you in distress might be the better of a bunch of bad days. We just haven’t lived those yet.
Just think. While we are enjoying a concert, sermon or play, someone else in the audience is thinking…
I start chemo tomorrow.
How will I pay the rent this month?
I need a job so badly.
I am so sick. Why doesn’t anyone see that I might throw up?
I parked illegally. What if my car is towed?
We all forget that life is for living
Do you know that life is lived in the moment? Do you understand that we can make that choice?
Tomorrow isn’t here yet. God provides. Pray your anxious thoughts to him. Trust him for the answers! And live your life in today’s moment. Now!
I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you, life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore, choose life that you and your descendants may live. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
