Acts 12:1-3–It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. (NIV)
Hubby and I watched a movie the other night, where a city slicker visited a local farm, fell in the creek, and had his car attacked by a horse. Then pigs chewed him and a goat knocked him over. We laughed and I said, “He is not having his best day, is he?” By the end of the movie, the chap had married the farmer’s daughter, made peace with the animals and settled into the farm. It turned out to be his best day after all!
Peter’s fellow disciple had been murdered and now he himself was in the murderer’s clutches. Not good. But by the end of the day………
Acts 12:7a, 9b–Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared …….Peter followed him out of the prison (Acts 1:1-18).

Prayer: Again today, Dear Father God, we await your intervention in our lives. Today is always, truly our best day, because you are in it with us. In Christ’s Name. Amen
