Most of us see prayer as a necessary evil, like having to wash the dishes after dinner. Prayer is talking to God and we can do that anywhere, anytime and on any subject.
When we love someone, we talk to them. Just as ‘best friend forever’ discussions strengthen a relationship, so talking to God strengthens our relationship with him.
Yes it is hard at first. Do it anyway. Showing up is half the battle! We can’t get it wrong. After all, we have a backup!
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. (Romans 8:26, MSG)
Prayer-Lord, Lord, we want to tell you that…………………… Amen.
