Whenever my mind wanders to whiny, negative places, I search God’s grocery shelves for nicer thoughts to put into my shopping cart.
As I stock up on thoughts like these, eventually my behaviour follows suit. It changes because I thought on better things. Let’s practice right now.
THOUGHT-Joe has bad breath. I am going to say so. Is this a true thought? Yes…but is it noble? Likely not. Right? Well, one can’t doubt one’s senses…Maybe.
Pure?…. Debatable. Lovely? —-Not likely! Admirable…Not! Excellent?—- No way! Praiseworthy…You know the answer!
BETTER THOUGHT- Joe is my friend and I choose not to hurt his feelings. True, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praise worthy?
