What Do You See?

When we look at our circumstances it tells us who we are. Are we trusting God in all things; do we have joy in the midst of life’s problems? There is nothing like a good problem to set us straight.

I dare you to see every problem as an opportunity to grow in faith, to trust God more, to make huge spurts of faith growth.

Will we stop telling ourselves lies? What ever it is, it is and blaming others won’t make it easier, just longer.

Life is neither good or bad. Our thinking and our attitude make it one or the other. (reworded wisdom from William Shakespeare)

What excuses do we use? Blaming God, family or employer? What about taking a good look at ourself!  Open your mind to the truth about your life, yourself, your perceived obstacles.

So, we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times; the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

(2 Corinthians 4:16-18, MSG)
