"If he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring for his guilt offering to the Lord two turtle doves…" (Leviticus 5:7a, AMP) Isn’t it interesting that God let’s us decide what we can afford?
And what can we afford, really? I remember a lady who said she hadn’t tithed for a bit but would catch up after she paid for the table she wanted.
In Matthew 26, the disciples decided what a woman could afford. They thought she’d wasted her money, when Jesus said she was actually preparing him for his burial. (Matthew 26:7-13)
So what can we afford to give for the life given for us?
Prayer- Lord, teach us to give for your sake, not ours. Amen.
