When the Kettle Empties (Part 4)

You might not believe it right this minute, but one day your tears will dry up because your tea kettle of tears is empty.

The Lord promises it to be so.  I have found it to be so in my own life. Does the hurt go away? Maybe not, but it is easier to bear because of the grace of God.

For you, Lord, have delivered me from death; my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. (Psalm 116:8, NIV)

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. (Psalm 126:5, NIV)

Will it be here on earth? Maybe yes, maybe now, but eventually, even if it seems we have to wait a lifetime, our tears will be gone forever.

He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 25:8, NIV)

Prayer- Lord we are grateful for your promise of no more tea kettle tea, no matter how long it takes. Amen.
