This is a common question among unseasoned Christ-followers. And none of them like to hear my answer. “Why not you? What makes you so special?”
Somehow, we get the idea that as believers we walk above the other lowly peasants who inhabit the world!
Sorry friends, that is not how faith works. Trouble and difficulty and messy lives are the very things that make us grow up in Christ. We get to show the world how Christ-followers get through hard times by leaning on the Lord.
Ranting and raving and complaining just makes you look foolish to the world and definitely to your fellow believers.
Count your blessings and include in those blessings the fact that God is trusting you with problems that will change you. Your attitude through them will encourage those around you.
This is your mission, should you choose to face it.
Whine and complain all you like. The trouble still lies in front of you and it still must be faced.
In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration, but be of good cheer, take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. (John 16:33, AMPC)
