Your Time is Short

Friends, we are counting down. The last days began, I believe, when Israel became a nation May 14, 1948.

Watch how it played out. First, the Israelites are scattered.

You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess. Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. (From Deuteronomy 28:63-66, NIV)

And then suddenly in one day, May 14, 1948, the impossible happened.

Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. (From Isaiah 66:8, NIV)

And God’s promise in Ezekiel

I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes. ‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. (From Ezekiel 36:23-24, NIV)

And these prophetic words from Dr John Walvoord

Few events can claim equal significance as far as Biblical prophecy is concerned with that of the return of Israel to their land. It constitutes a preparation for the end of the age, the setting for the coming of the Lord (Dr John Walvoord)

Prayer- Lord, some linger behind you. Draw the veil from their eyes so that they will not be left behind in your great plan; in the power of Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Amen.
