Family Christian Stores has named Max Lucado’s “Fearless” as its 2010 Book of the Year.
The book, which was released in September 2009, has been at or near the top of Christian book sales since its release.
Family Christian previously named two of Lucado’s books – “3:16 – The Numbers of Hope” and “Next Door Savior” as Book of the Year winners in 2008 and 2002, respectively. The retail chain has been honoring a top Christian book since 2003.
“The need for Max’s message of encouragement, found in the pages of Fearless, has only increased since the book’s release,” comments David Moberg, Senior Vice President and Group Publisher of Thomas Nelson.
Lucado has more than 65 million books in print and a publishing career spanning nearly 25 years. Max and his wife Denalyn live in San Antonio, Texas, where he is Minister of Writing and Preaching at Oak Hills Church.
