We first heard about cowboy churches on the TV show, Cowboy Country. Then we spotted a few trucker churches, running out of the back of tractor trailers. Then, an Elvis church popped up and Duck Dynasty showed up on TV.
Most of these non-traditional worship sites/people are evangelical and non-denominational. They love Christ just like we do, but they purposefully reach out to those with a different life style. They have no dress code and they might even drink coffee during the service.
The traditional church sometimes frowns on this sort of thing but if their goal is Jesus, and our goal is Jesus, aren’t we on the same team?
But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. (Luke 11:17, KJV)
Prayer- Lord give us grace not to judge one another by our standards but by yours only…For Christ who died so that we might be one. Amen.
