All for One, One for All

I’m a great fan of old movies, and today I watched “The Fighting Sullivans”, a true story about five brothers who insisted on serving together in World War II.

They served on the USS Juneau and when the ship went down, so did they. Theirs was the greatest loss by any one American family during the war.

According to Wikipedia, to honour their loss, the government commissioned the USS The Sullivans. That ship is now part of the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park in Buffalo, New York.

What an example of love for one another.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34,35, NIV)

Prayer – Lord, help us love one another. Amen.
