Beware

Don’t let your heart deceive you. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

Instead, pray this. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

Beware of money troubles of any kind. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

Don’t let yourself be enslaved by anything…anything at all!  “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything. (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Never let your outside appearance become more important than your inside one. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. (1 Peter 3:3-4)

Beware of wandering eyes. But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)
