The Winning Side

How do you know that you are on the winning side; that is, God’s side? Here is a check list.

Do you know this for sure? We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) 

Do you trust in Him? Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)    

Do you cast your care? Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) 

Do you ask, seek, and knock? For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:8) 

Do you acknowledge Him?  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:6 ESV) 

Do you do his will with delight? I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8)

Do you keep watch over your heart?  Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23) 

And finally, do you abide in Him? If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)

I could go on, but these will keep you busy for a while.
