Buddy Up

There once was a chubby young lady
Who cried and moaned like a baby.
She looked oh so jolly,
Just like a fat dolly
But everyone knew that was folly.

One day she decided to try it…
To diet, and diet and diet
She just couldn’t make it alone.
So she gave up her moan
And choose a group diet zone

Her story may never be finished.
But her weight is largely diminished.
She’s working real hard
Removing inches and yards.
To remove all that lard

Whether it is weight loss or some other type of discipline, we always do better if we buddy up with others. Do you have an accountability partner? Are you in a small group? Those choices will help us in the long run.

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word they have spoken. Matthew 12:36, NIV)

Prayer – Father, show us where we need to buddy up and with whom. Amen
