Burned

The little girl had blisters all over her hands. It turned out that the monkey bars at the playground were so hot that she got badly scarred.

What precautions should we be taking in the heat? 

Work in the cool of the day?

Let the grass grow as it will?

Avoid the direct sun?

Use sunscreen?

Sit in the air conditioner?

So far this year, I’ve seen videos of a moose with all four feet in a child’s pool and a raccoon in a birdbath. What are we all seeking? Water. Blessed water.

And as Christians, we too seek water, the blessed indwelling water of the Holy Spirit.

Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst, but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)

For by one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

And it’s not even hard to find him, for he comes to us when we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour.
