We are especially proud to be Canadian this year. There will be celebrations all over the country. We have special logos and flags and decorations. Today Canada is 150 years old.

We’ve grown from small settlements to large, world class cities. We’ve grown from one or two small provinces to ten provinces and two territories.Our population expands on a regular basis. We welcome newcomers from every nationality.

It is good to remember that all of that 150 years happened one day at a time, one small victory at a time. As we face the next 150 years, it is good to remember that our forefathers based our country on faith and that would hold us in good stead as we continue. Jesus is all there is and Jesus is enough-for whatever might happen in our next 150.

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:34, AMP)

Prayer-Father we thank you for your kindness and your guiding hand to Canada all these years. We ask that you remind us of your grace and continue to grow us up as both Canadians and believers. Amen.
