Centered

Professional hostess, Elsa Maxwell, once gave a party for Cole Porter and used birds for the centerpiece. Then she gave every lady there a (live?) bird to take home!

This year, building blocks, stuffed animals, and toys of every description are all the rage. They all seem a little odd to me.  (I must not lie–they are odd.)

Why not add a little Christmas to your Christmas table? Holly, poinsettias, bells, or a crèche make better choices. Just spread a pretty napkin out as a base and top with your favorite.

In our family, the center piece is a birthday cake with the words, “Happy Birthday Jesus” boldly written across the top.  Sometimes we even sing the song! Let’s share Jesus where we can.

Finally they said to one another, “We shouldn’t be doing this! This is a day of good news and we’re making it into a private party! (2 Kings 7:9, MSG)

Prayer – Lord, help us use every tool available to us, to tell others about Jesus. Amen
