Christ in the Old Testament

It’s been a frightful year, I admit. Are you another one who desires 2020 to be over? Its been death, destruction, political unrest and covid-19.

I agree, not our best year. But what if 2021 is worse? What if we are here?

Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and famine, and plague, and by the wild animals of the earth. (Revelation 6:7-8, NASB)

Are you ready? Am I? Most of us say we aren’t afraid of death, but we don’t like what we have to do to get there.

Are you believing in anything but Jesus? If we don’t take God’s word seriously, the death we get might not be the cozy comfort we expect. Here is a small word of advice

If you are going to believe everything you read, then start with your Bible. Jesus is our peace, in both the Old Testament and the New.

A child is born to us, a son is given to us, and authority will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (See Isaiah 9:6)

“I’ve said these things to you so that you will have peace in me. In the world you have distress. But be encouraged! I have conquered the world.” (See John 16:33

Prayer- Dear God, bring on 2021. We who believe in and trust in you are ready. Amen.
