Christ in the Old Testament (Human)

Yes, it is Christmas Eve! Let the bells ring out and the voices sing…Christ is risen from the dead and on this eve, many centuries ago, he came to be like us in every way.

“I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always” (See 1 Samuel 2:35).

Do you get it; I mean really get it?

“For this reason, he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people” (See Hebrews 2:17).

Rejoice, friends, for today we really can say, we understand the prophecies of old and their fulfillment into this moment.

“I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open” (See Isaiah 22:22).

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants” (See Isaiah 44:3)

“This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (See Matthew 26:28).

Prayer-Father God, we rejoice with you in the fulfillment of the Christ. Merry Christmas, God! Amen.
