Christ in the Old Testament (Risen)

He is risen. He is risen in deed!

“Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He is risen from the dead. He is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.’ That’s the message.” (Matthew 28:7, MSG)

Yes, we rejoice at Christmas for this is our truth, in both Old and New Testament.

“I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death” (Psalm 118:17–18).

‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: “The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again”‘” (See Luke 24:5–7).

We have great opportunities in this holiday season to share the Christ. Invite a friend, offer a meal. Place a Gospel tract in their hands.

Share the Christ while you can.

Prayer- Father thank you for the horror of Christ’s experiences on our half and the glory of sharing his truth with others. Amen.
