Christ in the Old Testament (Shedding of Blood)

Under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins. (See Hebrews 9:22, AMPC)

Oh Christ, how you suffered on our behalf.

“The life of a creature is in the blood II have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” (See Leviticus 17:11).

And here Christ himself says…

“This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (See Matthew 26:28).

And here is the only way to live.

“Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived” (See Numbers 21:9).

To avoid condemnation, friends…”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:14–18).

Prayer- Oh God, we plead again for the souls of our loved ones. Amen.
