I never worried much about the blacking on the bottom of my cooking pots, until I saw a video that showed how to clean them up. It sounded weird and I felt obliged to prove them wrong.
Turned out that they showed me my wrong. Here is the recipe.
- Lay frypan face down on some newspapers.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Then add baking soda.
- Squirt liquid dish soap on top of that.
- Scrub it a bit.
- Cover with paper towels.
- Pour on enough vinegar to fully moisten.
- Let sit five minutes or so.
- Wipe clean.
Weird, yet wonderful! It works, just like this does.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22, NIV)
